Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more capable. They pass our cleaning tests, and can take care of a variety of floors. Choose models that permit you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Find remote hoover that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them and even managed to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to prevent it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
This robot combo has a simple interface that guides you throughout the process. It also includes a hand vacuum which can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically filled or empty. It also has a number of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it could get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush will give you an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is smart that can navigate small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors However, it tends to leave a wide distance over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app is streamlined, intuitive interface that should be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for live video surveillance. However, you will require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always be able to reach every bit of dust. It's essential to clean your home frequently, every week. This is especially important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is designed to do just that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a less expensive plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen at this price even though it's not able to clean your floors. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It also comes with a smart application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with 2700Pa of power to tackle dust, dirt, and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested that did not have problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it did not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that lets it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums can't. This device also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters, which reduces the expenses associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and boost suction if necessary. The app also allows you to mark off areas you want to stay clear of and is a great feature.
